Offchurch Bury aims to provide a fun and friendly polo experience, whether you are a member of the Club, learning to play, seeking an unusual team-building activity day or a unique corporate hospitality opportunity.
The club was originally founded in 1989, and has been resurrected by Tessa Johnson with the aim of providing inexpensive polo for younger players, low goal players and beginners alike. The original field, at the heart of the estate and surrounded by mature trees, plays as well as ever. The old turf gives a wonderfully compliant surface even at the height of summer. The club is now the sole user of the polo ground and has a stick-and-ball practice area, a purpose built polo arena, and ponies (suitable for beginners to medium goal) available for hire at Offchurch Bury and away grounds.
The Club is situated immediately to the east of Leamington Spa. Access is off the Cubbington to Offchurch road (“Welsh Road”) or alternatively from the Offchurch Village via the Estate entrance near the church.
Group and individual lessons are provided. Day and weekend clinics and corporate entertainment days can be arranged.
Chukkas are played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and at weekends in the absence of a tournament.
